How long does an Odoo migration take?

Legacy ERP migrations are planned as part of a full implementation, which usually takes 2 to 10 weeks. Odoo version upgrades usually take 2–4 weeks, or 4–8 weeks for heavily customised databases.

Can you move our custom modules too?

Yes. Custom modules are rewritten for the new version as part of an upgrade, and anything standard Odoo now covers is removed. See our Odoo version upgrade services.

We migrate a copy of your data to a staging server and fix data issues there, away from live operations.

Fixes and user testing
Issues found in the test run are fixed. Your key users then run their daily work on staging and sign off, and finance signs off the reconciliation figures.

Weekend cutover
Friday evening we freeze the old system, migrate the latest data, run the checks and switch over. Your team starts Monday on the new system, with us on standby.
